HISTORY
Sherwood Group was formed in 1990 as the result of a merger between two contract cleaning companies: Nottingham-based Sherwood and Prestige of London.
During the next 12 years the company developed mostly through small acquisitions and organic growth diversifying its capabilities to include specialist services such as transport depot cleaning and support services.
In 2002 the company was purchased by Australian conglomerate Tempo to effectively be the UK presence for the Facilities Management (FM) firm.
In October 2005 the sale was reversed by a management buy-out.
